My name is Mike McCorquindale, and I am thrilled to be the new Principal of Annie L. Gaetz School. I have worked with Red Deer Public my entire career, most recently as a Vice Principal at Lindsay Thurber, but have also had the privilege of working as an administrator at Normandeau, and as a classroom teacher at Gateway. 

I obtained a Bachelor’s of Education degree from King’s University College, and both a Bachelor’s of Arts and Master’s degree in Education from the University of Alberta. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my young family, and playing soccer.

My approach to educational leadership is centered around collaboration, innovation, and building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. Together, we will continue to build on the wonderful traditions of Annie L. Gaetz School and create new opportunities for our students to thrive. I look forward to an exciting and rewarding year ahead!
